Got defense? Having and using your monitored alarm system is a big part of helping secure your home, but there are several things you can do (some of which cost nothing but time!) to fortify your home, and ultimately deter anyone looking for an easy opportunity. Every good coach will tell you the best offense is a great defense, so the following is a list of 10 things to consider in planning your attack:
Keep your yard landscaped- overgrown bushes make for good hiding spots!
Install motion sensor lights- they'll startle the bejeezus out of 'em!
Keep a car in the driveway.
Make sure your Alarm-1 yard sign is in plain sight.
Invest in window stops & sliding door stops, and install them!
Stop mail if you're heading out of town, or have your neighbor collect it while you're gone.
Use smart plugs to turn on lights, radios or televisions (included in our automation packages!)
Take those Amazon (or other) deliveries off of your front porch asap!
Install a surveillance system- outdoor cameras & doorbell camera (included in our automation packages!)
Lock your doors & windows, and USE your alarm system!
